This job had two equal facets. Managing the schedule and delivery for our email marketing and email newsletter system and curating the actual content that goes into the emails (and later SMS texts). You should be apt and interested in both parts if applying. This is a contract position intended to grow into full-time for the right person.
This position is responsible for curating content for our sports betting sites online & direct communication channels (i.e. email, push, SMS). You will collaborate with brand leaders to organize a central content calendar, and consolidate, develop and distribute content. As an email marketing content manager, you will have a proficiency in content curation, content planning, and writing copy that motivates. The range of work can be vary in nature, including long and short form content, timely ‘news-style’ notifications and social network community engagement.
Responsibilities/ You Will:
- Organize content calendar, identify communication needs and curate & author for the team.
- Apply planning guidance and advise for content adjustments to ensure it is effective and relevant.
- Coordinate with internal partners to align content, materials, and resources with the business goals.
- Update, personalize and customize content to align with personalized user needs
- Optimize content/reading experiences throughout channels, and consider a ‘hub and spoke’ connection for content throughout channels
- Conduct research relevant to the news and event needs.
- Maintain an understanding of overall priorities, business requirements, existing and future opportunities, and overall landscape of enthusiast-based community base
Basic Qualifications/ You Will Have:
- Minimum 2 years content authoring and/or curation experience
- Experience leading and driving projects
- Skills author content that can influence, educate, communicate updates and drive action
- 1-2 Years experience in Email marketing; SMS a Plus
- Experience creating content for a sports or enthusiast-based community
- Consulting and client management skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects and adjust to a changing business environment
